ABOUT THE AUTHORS
DR. TONY EVANS
Dr. Tony Evans is the founder and senior pastor of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas, founder and president of The Urban Alternative, and bestselling author of more than one hundred books, booklets, and Bible studies. The first African American to earn a doctorate of theology from Dallas Theological Seminary and to publish the first full-Bible commentary and study Bible, Dr. Evans has been named by Baylor University as one of the twelve Most Effective Preachers in the English-speaking world.
CHRYSTAL EVANS HURST
Chrystal Evans Hurst is a bestselling author, Bible study teacher, speaker, blogger, podcaster, and worship leader in addition to serving alongside her father in his global ministry. As the chief operating officer in her home and mother of five, three of which are boys that she homeschools around the kitchen table, Chrystal is a self-proclaimed “geek” and bibliovore. She and her husband, Jessie, reside with their children in a small town just outside of Dallas.
Priscilla Shirer is a New York Times bestselling author, actress, and conference speaker equipping believers through her Going Beyond Ministry. A graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary, Priscilla holds a master’s degree in Biblical Studies. But she is first of all a wife and mother. Priscilla has been married to Jerry for twenty years. Between studying and writing, she spends most of her time cleaning up after (and trying to satisfy the appetites of) their three growing boys: Jackson, Jerry Jr. and Jude.
Anthony Evans is an author, actor, Grammy nominated executive producer, and one of Christian music’s premier worship leaders and singer/songwriters. His appearance on NBC’s “The Voice” led him to being discovered and enlisted to perform and produce vocals for various major artists and networks, to include an assortment of popular reality and competition shows. Anthony splits his time between Los Angeles and family home in Dallas, with many stops in various appearances around the world.
Jonathan Evans is a mentor, author, speaker, chaplain, and former NFL fullback. He serves with his pastor, friend, and father, Dr. Tony Evans, both in the local church and the national ministry. A graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary with a masters degree in Christian Leadership, Jonathan also serves as the chaplain of the Dallas Cowboys and co-chaplain of the Dallas Mavericks. Jonathan and his wife Kanika are the proud parents of Kelsey, Jonathan II, Kamden, Kylar, and Jade Wynter. They reside in Dallas, Texas.
